Understanding Your Place in the World: One Mans Guide to Philosophy and getting the most out of life

Life is a Journey, in which we try to gain an understanding of the world around us. This journey is individual to every person and should be treated as such. Due to our current levels of understanding of the world around us and understanding of ourselves we will interpret our daily interactions differently to others and this experience may vary dependant on our true understanding of the world around us.

People who wish to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, the world and others must realise that we are all individuals and there is no right or wrong way to do anything only ”your way” and if your views, morals and beliefs vary to another, this is perfectly acceptable, and should be embraced. By discussing philosophy’s, morals and ethics with other people, you are able to grow and develop your own philosophy, a journey which is never complete.

Spirituality by nature is a deeply personal thing and there is no right or wrong answer. Regardless of whether you subscribe to the beliefs of an organised religion or a personal understanding of spirituality, this is vital to understanding the world, the people in it, and your place in this web of life. Your beliefs should not be fixed in stone, by having a set of hard and fast rules that are unshakable you may have a feeling of stability, but with that comes the inability to grow, and you will be limited by these limitations of understanding.

Whilst spiritually is deeply personal and individual, the infinite possibilities of your understanding and beliefs are deeply intertwined with everyone else’s beliefs. If you review all the major religions in the world there are a huge number of similarity’s in their teachings and it is up to you as the person experiencing life, to take these moral and ethics and decided if any of these align with your own journey through life.

Growth as a person does not come from having epiphanies, or things handed to you, it comes from analysing how every aspect of the world around us fits together. By understanding your daily interactions and experiences you gain a deeper knowledge of life.

Many have tried to answer the big question “what is the meaning of life?” and the truth is, there isn’t one answer. It is up to you to decided what is the meaning of YOUR life, and how does that fit into the grand scheme of things. no-one is able to come up with a decisive answer, because every single being on this earth is an individual, everyone’s experience of life is different and therefore the meaning of there life.
